Call for Original Submissions

We invite researchers, academicians, and professionals to submit their original and unpublished manuscripts to the Mehran University Research Journal of Engineering and Technology (MURJET). The journal aims to promote high-quality research in all fields and applications of engineering and technology. Submissions must meet the journal’s rigorous standards for originality, technical quality, and relevance. There is no specific deadline for the submission or acceptance of manuscripts. Each submission undergoes a thorough suitability check followed by a double-blind peer review process before final acceptance. The average time from submission to acceptance varies between six weeks to six months, depending on the timeliness of reviewer responses and the authors' compliance with revision requests.

Before Submission

Authors are encouraged to carefully review the Journal's Scope and Policies of Publication Ethics, Open Access, and Plagiarism before submitting their manuscript to the MURJET. Submissions must meet the following prerequisites.

  • Originality: The manuscript must represent original work and should not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere.

  • Permissions: Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for photos, datasets, or other materials included in the manuscript.

  • Authorship: All listed authors must consent to be identified as contributors and must approve the final manuscript.

  • Ethics Approval: If applicable, research must be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

  • Declaration Form: All authors must complete and submit the journal’s prescribed Declaration at the time of manuscript submission.

The manuscripts must also adhere to the following formatting and stylistic requirements.

  • The manuscript should be written in good English.

  • The first page should include the full title, names and affiliations of all authors, and the email address of the corresponding author. The title should be concise, and the abstract can stand alone as a summary of the work. Also ensure that the authors' names are listed and ordered correctly. No additions or deletions will be allowed after successful suitability check of the submission

  • The text should be single-spaced, use a 12-point Times New Roman font, and employ italics rather than underlining (except for URLs).

  • Illustrations, figures, and tables must be placed within the text at appropriate points rather than at the end and must be correctly numbered and labelled.

  • References must be accurate, complete and cited in the text using numbers in square brackets, and the reference list should follow the IEEE referencing style, arranged in the order they appear in the text.

  • Ensuring that the due permissions for all photos, datasets, or other materials have been obtained.
