Background
MURJET was established in 1982 by Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. The founding Chief Editor was Prof. Mumtaz-ul-Imam, and the founding Editor was Engr. Abdul Aziz Sangi. Initially, the journal was published in print form (ISSN 0254-7821) until publication of the July 2010 issue. Since publication of the October 2010 issue, it has been an open-access journal, for which the issues are also available in the electronic form accessible at journal’s online archives (e-ISSN 2413-7219). Since 2017, MURJET is indexed in the Clarivate Web of Science JCR currently having an Impact Factor of 0.6 (JCR Edition 2023) and is recognized by HEC Pakistan (2024-2025) in the ‘X’ Category.
