About the Journal
Mehran University Research Journal of Engineering and Technology is an international, multidisciplinary, open-access scholarly journal. This journal publishes high-quality original research articles describing the latest research and developments in all engineering and technology fields. Review and survey papers in the priority areas are also considered for publication only by editorial invitation.
Aim and Scope
The journal aims to support academicians, researchers and practitioners with the latest trends and better practices through our published articles in the fields of engineering and technology and serves as a platform for addressing and discussing theoretical and practical knowledge of advancement in but not limited to the following engineering and technology domains: Civil, Agriculture, Food, Irrigation and Water Supply, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Energy, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Systems, Software, Information Technology, Mechatronics, Automotive, Aerospace and Aeronautical, Naval Architecture and Maritime, Telecommunications, Mining, Metallurgy, Petroleum and Gas, Materials, Polymer, Textile, Biotechnology, Biomedical, Industrial, Urban Engineering and Planning; and the applied sciences domain particularly Materials Sciences, Applied Natural Sciences. However, the domains of medical sciences, management sciences, social sciences and the art and design are not covered by this journal.

Background
Mehran University Research Journal of Engineering and Technology was launched by Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro in 1982, by Prof. Mumtaz-ul-Imam as a Chief Editor and Engr. Abdul Aziz Sangi as an Editor. The journal was published only in print form till July 2010 with the ISSN 0254-7821. Then, from October 2010, the journal became an open access journal which is published in print as well as in the electronic form with the e-ISSN 2413-7219. The journal is indexed in the Clarivate Web of Science with an impact factor of 0.6 (JCR Edition 2023) and recognized by HEC Pakistan in the 'X' category.
This journal has zero tolerance against plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are scanned through an approved Plagiarism detection software. If the similarity index of the text is more than the acceptable threshold then the paper is returned back to the authors. Please refer to the SOP of the journal for further details regarding plagiarism. After plagiarism check, the papers are reviewed under Double Blind Peer Review Process.
There is no last date for submission and acceptance of the manuscripts. Plagiarism checking and review process may take from four weeks to six months depending upon responses from the reviewers and compliance from authors. After satisfactory review, the editorial board accepts the manuscript for publication and acceptance letter is issued to the author(s). All papers are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
