Abstract

A method to maintain the junction temperature at a fixed value of interest for the commercial 1.28mm QD (Quantum Dot) laser devices is reported. A temperature calibration based approach is proposed by using a single longitudinal mode as a temperature monitor. Then, affixation of its position maintains the temperature of the device junction at a required value.
